Antique Cast Iron FOOD CHOPPER Slicer Has BLADES for Cutter This is a real heavy old hand cranked cast iron Food chopper of sorts, not like the enterprise Grinders. It clamps to the table edge, and has 6 large knife blades along the shaft. Looks more for cutting or slicing than grinding. Might be a root cutter of sorts, for rutabagas or turnips?. T's no name on it. I don't know what it was used for. T's a latch on the side to hold it together, its hinged and flips up in the middle, t is an adjustable sized opening with door in the front for the cut food to come out. Has some rust on it from storage, but is in good condition. Still has some original black paint. Its heavy, weighs 9 lbs. alone. Is 12 1/2" tall. The center part is round and measures 6" from front to back. The shaft that holds the knives is 7" long.
