CHINA TRADE SILVER TOOTHPICK HOLDER we have an unusual piece: a China Trade silver toothpick holder. We know it is a piece made for export because it has a cartouche ready to be engraved with your monogram or coat of arms. With Chinese silver you never know the actual silver content. It varies from piece to piece and, with some larger pieces, it may even vary from part to part. The decoration is repousee (hammered out from the inside) twigs of plum blossom against a background of incredibly minute dimpling. It dates from 1900 (+/- 20 years). T are no maker's marks on it. It is in very good condition but, if you like it that way, it could be polished more brightly. I prefer the antique look since it is antique. The dimensions are 2.7" (6.8cm) high x .9" (2.3cm) top x 1" (2.5cm) bottom. Shipping cost is for US 48 States. Elsew is extra.
