This is a very nice Antique Chinese Cloisonne Bowl up for bid. The bowl is in great condition with no spots or chips. The bowl sits on a little teak stand. The bowl is enamel on copper, has a nice Chinese red finish showing a light scroll design on the background, adorned by various Cloisonne flower detailing in shades of yellow, deep blue, white, dark green, and light pink. The inside paint is a beautiful deep turquoise which is still shiny and not faded or marked. Around the lower part of the bowl, near the base, there are turquoise painted 'leaves', with a copper rim at the very bottom. The underside of the bowl bears the inscription 'CHINA' in raised letters. In the photos, the teak stand appears to have whitish staining, but in reality has no staining at all, and is a rich deep brown color. The discoloration effect is a result of the camera flash, and the stand appears new with graceful cutouts all around the edges. The bowl measures 4 1/4" across the top from edge to edge, about 3 1/2" across the base, and is 2 1/2" deep. The little stand measures about 4 1/2" across and stands about 1 1/2" high. This bowl would make a lovely addition to any collection of Antique or Asian art, or Cloisonne collection.
