Antique Chinese red Cinnabar box 1870 Description : FREE INSURED SHIPPING INSIDE THE U.S. for BUY-IT-NOW!! (Overseas shipping at half-price) A fine Chinese carved red cinnabar lacquer box - circa 1870. The lid has an intricate garden scene with a teacher and 2 students seated around a table with trees and a pagoda on the background - geometric designs on the body and sides of lid - black lacquer on the bottom and inside. Good condition - 2 small chips from the red lacquer on side of lid - scuffs off black lacquer inside and on bottom. It measures 5 3/4" L X 3 3/4" W X 2 1/4" H.
