Offeredis this very attractive sterling silver case. It is likely Chinese but could, possibly, be Japanese. It is quite heavy and has a repousse design on the front of a chrysanthemum flower with lots of detail. The relief also bears a brite cut design of the leaves on both the front and the back. At one time it had an elastic band inside and probably was intended to hold cigarettes or cards. The case measures 4-1/2" by 3-1/4" and is in good, original condition.
