A very beautiful yellow tone clay Yixing teapot with incised calligraphy on one side and a leafy branch on the other. The calligraphy is well executed with an assured hand and the drawing of the branch is spontaneous and graceful. Skillfully crafted with precise symetry and elegant proportions. In excellent condition overall with signs of use and moderate wear to the edges here and there. Front corners of the spout are slightly worn but there are no chips, cracks, hairlines, or restorations. Probably later Qing dynasty. Impressed seal marks to the bottom of the pot and inside the lid.
