Jan 17 1863 - Civil War Letter. Up for bid is a wonderful antique letter from the Civil War Era. The letter highlights some of the occurrences in the life of Union Civil War soldier Lewis Kille. Lewis Kille was a member of the Ohio Infantry. Original letter and cover. No stamp (Due 3) Opened only on the left side. Cover UNION Minnesota emblem and "The Union Must and Shall Be Preserved" Overall condition of the letter is excellent, clean and legible. Minimal fading consistent with its age. I have several letters from within the family. This particular letter is to Lewis' sister Mary Kille in Chandlerville, Muskingum Co, Ohio Please e-mail for additional pix or with any questions.
