A rare antique bone china coffee cup and saucer by Coalport . A beautiful fluted shaped cup with a wonderful flat top old English handle typical of Coalport . Absolute gorgeous hand painted flowers all around the inside of the cup and top of saucer with panels of hatched , pebbled and dotted hand gold gilding . The cup measures 80 mm / 3 inches to the top of the handle and 90 mm / 3.5 inches across the top. The fluted saucer measures 30 mm / 1 inch to the top of the rim and 150 mm / 6 inches in diameter . Unmarked but similar cup in the Berthoud book plate 765 . Marked in gold the pattern number 830 . In good used condition a tiny flea bite under the rim of the cup and some slight rubbing to some of the gilding in places . A fine English bone china cup and saucer of top quality dating around 1825 a great collectors piece. Thank you for looking.
