In August 1965, I purchased this coffee grinder at an auction south of Harrisburg, PA.To help you see the unique grinding mechanism I removed the cup, which I believe is pewter. The grinding mechanism is designed different from other coffee grinders & appears to be brass or bronze. The wood on the top is cracked. The pewter top is rough inside the cup & bent from lots of use. I have never tried to grind coffee, however, there were some very old beans in the grinder. PLEASE STUDY THE PICTURES The coffee grinder measures approximately 6” x 6” & 3 ½” high to the top of the box, 5 ½” high to the top of the cup/funnel, and 8” high to the top of the handle. This coffee grinder is being sold “as is.”
