This auction is for a wonderful antique Ideal Composition/Cloth Doll in need of a Restoration or Repair and she is older than the hills. She is a little over 18" tall - she has a Composition Head and composition arms/hands - she has a nice old cloth body - she is marked on the back of her neck with the diamond shaped sign with Ideal in the middle and there is some more writing but I can't make out what it says - she is a sleep eyes doll with beautiful old blue tin eyes that open and close nicely - she is wearing a lovely old sheer 2 piece outfit that is a pretty pink dress over a one piece sleeveless undergarment that has the same pretty pink trim to match the dress at the cuffs - she has nice mohair wig that is partially glued down - and she has sort of an off-white gauze like diaper (or underpants) beneath her outfit. This lovely old doll has an amazing cloth body that it is in pretty nice intact condition except it has lots of soil spots and shelf dust but it is amazing how well the dress outfit has protected it over the years. It looks like someone may have tried to "touch her up" a very long time ago on her composition face because her face looks like it may have been painted but it could also be that her paint has peeled off quite a bit over time I am really not sure.
