Solid Copper Jesus on the Cross INRI Paperweight Statue I am not sure what the original purpose was for this very old piece. It is made of copper and the bottom is filled with what looks like plaster of paris or chalkware material! It measures 7" tall and 3" wide and is pretty heavy . I thought it was bronze at first but I do believe it is copper! It came from the estate of a lady who had been a Catholic Nun for over 40 years and left the church. She had very few posessions and this was one of them. We also have several old photos she had saved over the years that we will be listing at a later date. This is very rustic looking and I'm sure it is quite old. I am thinking it is a paperweight because of the size and also the material in the bottom adding extra weight. It would stand on its own, without it, if it were made to be used as a statue. I may be totally and if any of you have any ideas I'd be glad to hear them!!
