ANTIQUE EARLY 20th c MEIJI PERIOD JAPANESE SILK EMBROIDERED KIMONO!Up for the auction is a beautiful antique early 20th century Meiji period Japanese embroidered silk kimono. On an off white color silk background material features finely embroidered blooming flowers and peacocks. The flowers embroidered in bright multi- colored silk threads using fine satin stitches. Peacocks embroidered in golden metallic threads using couching technique. The kimono measures 59" (150 cm) long. Lined with an off white silk lining.Condition : good antique condition overall, considering the very old age of the piece, with no damages or imperfections aside light tearing to the lining (see pictures) and one stain. Otherwise good.
