Description A beautiful antique Victorian solid sterling silver curb link " double-albert " pocket watch chain in lovely condition and with English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1899. Fine quality example with individually hallmarked chain links, with a silver t-bar and 2 swivel/dog catches. Attached is a handsome large antique solid silver "shield" fob medal with no prize inscription or monograms. Weighs a heavy 46 grams. Measurements Measures approx 15.85 inches (404mm) in length, with a further 1.25 inches (28mm) on the short fob chain. Will go around the neck if you have a slender neck. Date Has a s et of English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1899 (date letter "z") on the t-bar, one swivel catch is hallmarked Chester 1908, (date letter "H"), and the other is stamped "S.S" denoting sterling silver (definitely antique). E very chain link is stamped with a lion passant silver mark. The fob medal is silver hallmarked Birmingham 1907, (date letter "h"). Maker Silversmiths initials "M A & S". Condition Lovely condition and ready to be used. N o splits or cracks, no solder repairs and very little wear on the chain links.
