You are bidding on a Antique Oil Painting in Carved Gilded Frame. This piece is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and is an original painting that was signed by who we believe to be VERY WELL listed artist Pierre Palue (1920) or could be several Palm all who are listed in the Davenport, Askart, Artprice and many other art indexes and and we took a close up photo for your own reference as these artist brings throusands of dollars at auction and they are known for Cityscapes of Europe. Either way was done by a good hand in its original Hendryk Carved and Gilded Frame. It is a original Oil on Canvas that depicts a beautiful Cityscape and Waterway Canal of the time period that was done in a beautiful impressionist art form. The painting has imposto brush strokes and distinctive characteristics of the beautifully done buidlings and a nice architectural landscape and designs that were done in great depth and dimension as shown in the photos. It has nice trees accented throughout with a waterway bridge or overpass and several boats along the sides as well. The artist captures a beautiful Genre scene of of the time period with the Old Street Lights. I am sure this is a well known place for the artist to go to as inspiration and could have been a form of expression of History, Tradition, Peace, Tranquility and canmean so many things to so many different people and this is a rather large painting and one of the largest Palue has done. The beauty of art is that t are many different ways of looking at this painting and the beauty is all in the eye of the beholder.
