AntiqueCased Gilded Sewing Set French * Circa 1900s This nice antique gilded set was made in France and is in its original fitted case. The tools are gilded metal and all original to the set . They include a needle case, scissors, crochet hook, bodkin and thimble . The scissors have tight blades, sharp intact points and cut beautifully to the tips (3 1/2" long). The thimble is in great condition, in round with no holes, dents or other damage. It is about an American size 8 (15.25 mm diameter opening). The metal on all of the pieces is in excellent condition with no loss or damage. The needle case fits together snugly and the crochet hook is about an American steel size 8. The case is in great condition and has its original fitted velvet and satin lining. It closes well with a push button clasp and measures 5 5/8" by 3 1/8".
