Double your traffic. bénitier This is a most stunning, ornate antique French religious holy font Mid 1800s Found in a private chappel of a Chateau in the south of France The handcarved and signed limestone medaillon has a highly detailed design in relief of a winged angel holding the Holy Grail to Jesus Christ The limestone is signed by its artist "Bloch" The wooden handcarved frame has a pretty design with roses, leaves, a cross / crucifix on top, garlands of curls and scrolls , the more you look, the more you see Just look at all these details and imagine the hours and hours of work on this fabulous piece of religious art!!The metal holy font, called "benitier" in French, is in a gorgeous shape as well with acanthusleavesAll these details make it a really rare and original religious piece of art There is a small hook on the back of the wooden frame These holy fonts are highly collectible and difficult to find !!
