bénitier This is an antique French religious holy water font with Jesus Christ on a crucifix with the letters INRI on top , on a wooden base Late 1800s / Early 1900s The spelter Jesus Christ is highly detailed on the cross with the letters INRI are on top, a spelter font (called bénitier in French) with floral details with acanthus leaves, the cross itself is stunning with tiny floral details, the 4 ends of the cross are made of ormolu with roses and garlands The more you look, the more you see, just stunning! All these details make it a really rare and original religious piece of art !! There is a small hook on the back of the wooden base to hang it on the wall These holy fonts are highly collectible !! Sizes: 16 inches (40cm) high and 9.2 inches wide at the widest (23cm) In a very good condition, as shown on the pictures, some verdigris on the Jesus sculpture, due to age, this can be taken off, nothing serious Much prettier in reality than on the pictures, believe me!!
