This is an unusual and rare French Victorian ormolu tiara and matching pin or brooch. Both the pin and tiara are in excellent condition. They have maintained their bright gold finish and have no tarnish at all. The dome is in very good condition with no damage to the glass. The pale blue silk that the tiara and brooch rests on has deteriorated. The silk deterioration is to be expected for an item this old but by no means deters from this fabulous presentation. It is very beautiful!The glass dome measures 6 inches tall and 6 inches wide at the base. The wooden base is 8 inches wide. The tiara is petite and measures 8 1/4 inches in length and 2 3/4 inches in height. The brooch is approximately 2 inches long. The ormolu metal bends easily and this item could be adjusted to fit for present use. T is a hook shaped pin on the brooch for attaching to a garment.I am offering this item with a low starting bid and a reasonable reserve. All inquiries are welcome.
