AntiqueGilded Sewing Set / Etui German * Circa 1890 The sewing tools in this unusual necessaire are nestled into the fitted recesses in the silk and velvet lined case. The pieces are gilded brass with classical leafy paneled designs. The set consists of 2 pairs of scissors, needle case, stiletto, button hook and thimble. The pieces fit the case well. All of the tools are in excellent condition with no dents or other damage. Both pairs of scissors have the original sharp points but need sharpening. The thimble is in round with no dents, holes or other damage. The needlecase fits together snugly. The gilding is rubbed a bit on the scissors but bright on the other pieces. The exterior of the case is covered with a faux alligator embossed paper. The case in overall nice condition and closes well with a flip down brass clasp. It measures 4 1/2" by 6 7/8".
