~PLEASE LOOK AT MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE ANTIQUE HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN LIMOGES~ Here is an outstanding antique Limoges Porcelain Plate hand painted in the Art Nouveau style of the early 1900's. Signed by professional artist Samuel Heap who worked for Pickard Decorating Studio, and the Stouffer Decorating Studio in Chicago in the early 1900's. The gorgeous plate is decorated with white and pink Water Lilies on bright green Lily Pads and grasses which reflect beautifully on the pond. Rich gold gilding adorns the softly scalloped rim of the plate. Measuring 8 1/2" in diameter, the reverse bears the green underglaze factory mark of Haviland, "Haviland Limoges", as well as the red overglaze decorating mark of the Stouffer Studio, "Hand Painted Stouffer", used from 1906 to 1914. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or flakes. A fantastic addition to any Limoges, Pickard or Stouffer collection!
