This is a beautiful plate marked HAVILAND LIMOGES and STOUFFER HAND PAINTED. The plate was hand painted and decorated at the Stouffer Studio in Chicago ca.1906-1914 .The piece is signed with the initials of the artist C.B. It is decorated with three groups of violets around the rim. The scalloped border is heavily gilded and stenciled . The background is light blue and cream. The plate is 7 1/4" in diameter and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks nor repairs and no visible discoloration. A similar plate by the same artist can be seen on page 291 of the Collector's Encyclopedia of Pickard China. A little jewel for your collection. Please see my listing for more hand painted plates.
