ANTIQUE HAVILAND PORCELAIN SIX CUPS AND SAUCERS This is a fabulous find. You get a set of six antique, cups and saucers dating back to the 1880's.Imagine they have been around for almost 127 years. Made by the prestigeous Haviland factory in France, and distributed in the US. This cups and saucers are just beautiful, the translucent porcelain is magnificent, and the little flowers are dainty,and very femenine. They have some really pretty relief work that doesn't really show in the pictures, they are also marked at the bottom, see photos. It is really hard to find, six matching sets together that's why I think this an extra special find. The condition for their age is very good, no crazing, no repairs, only some gold loss especially to the handles, all the cups are missing gold on their handles,( see photo ), probably due to age, and handling. One cup has a tiny chip on its rim, I had to feel it, it is so small, and one of the saucers has one too, very small as well. In any way does this, in my opinion take away, from the beauty, or functionality of this beautiful cups and saucers. They almost belong in a museum. Don't let them slip away!!! They will be a great addition to your china cabinet, and they must be used, maybe to sip coffee with your friends, perhaps some tea??, or even a bit of broth on a cold afternoon.... From a smoke
