This is a smooth face bent putter by Cann & Taylor, Richmond, Surrey. It is part of their J H Taylor autograph series with Taylor's name in script on the head and on the shaft. That scripted autograph was registered as a trademark. This putter was a special design by Taylor and bears the title TAYLOR'S PUTTER in block letters.There is a very slight wiggle to the head. The original shaft has the CANN & TAYLOR, RICHMOND mark below the grip area with the scripted J H TAYLOR autograph as well. These stamps are very readable. The old circa 1900 leather wrap grip, held on with light colored whipping, has a "russet" look to it. It is a bit fragile. The sole shows very few signs of play. There is some corrosion near the top of the blade. The club is 34 1/2" long to the heel. THIS CLUB IS NOT PLAY READY.Buy with confidence. I ship ONLY to the USA.
