ANTIQUE HUGE 19 PC PERSIAN POLYCHROME QUJAR DYNASTY TILE MURAL QURAN ROYAL COUPLE MUSICIANS. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION!!!! The panel is missing one side tile. Some tiles are in excellent condition, a few have been broken and repaired, a few have chips and one is actively broken and in need of repair. If you are good with that then here is the description: The very large frieze mural was obtained about 20 years ago in Iran and carefully shipped to the US. It features 19 out of 20 total tiles that date to the Qujar dynasty (1796-1925). Each tile is 7" x 7" x 1/2" weighing approximately 1 lb 9-13 ounces. It features a royal couple enjoying time together with musicians in attendance. The man is holding what we believe is a copy of the Quran while the lady is holding a fruit. The musicians are playing a Chang and a Daf (harp and tambourine). They have water jugs and bowls of fruit. There is a pond and trees with beautiful cobalt blue clouds. I will describe each tile.
