I am a passionate collector of antique English white ironstone china. I will be selling a wide variety of gorgeous pieces from my collection to make room for new acquisitions. This pitcher/ewer is in the Sydenham shape, treasured by collectors. The shape was registered in 1853-1854 by T. & R. Boote. The impressed diamond registry mark on the bottom of the pitcher confirms that the day this shape made was registered for patent was on June 21, 1854. Note the beautiful design of the pointed leaves folding back on themselves around the base. These photos are accurate as to the beautiful white color. I applied some shading to the last photo of the mark in order for viewers to be able to see the it's details. It has wonderful embossing detail and is free of any crazing, chips, cracks or stains. There are a few pinprick, tiny black specks often seen on antique ironstone that come from specks of coal dust when the pottery was fired in the ovens. It measures 11 1/2 " tall from the tip of the spout to the bottom. I also have the matching washbowl.Shipping and insurance charges will depend on buyer's zip code and preferred shipping method. I ship my item packaged very, very carefully and insured for safe arrival. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
