We recently purchased a group of antique bed linens that are exquisite. Wonderful examples of late 19th and early 20th century Italian needlework, these pieces are in beautiful condition and have been lovingly laundered so that they are ready for your home. These beautiful linens would have been part of a young woman's trousseau - in Italian families, women spent years readying linens for marriage. The techniques include embroidery, drawnwork and cutwork, and feature monograms and mottoes. All are among the finest you'll ever see - please look at our other items and bid early! This lot consists of a lovely set of a top sheet and pillow case pair in snowy white. The handwork is beautiful with ornate cutwork and eyelet embroidery forming the designs of ribbons and bows. The pieces are hemstitched and of beautiful quality. Condition: Excellent - no spots, stains, rips or tears. Size: The sheet is 82" wide x 92" long and the cases are 20" x 32". Shipping: Buyer to pay actual shipping costs; insurance is included as a handling fee. We are happy to combine shipping for multiple purchases. Customs fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
