Up for auction is this antique Knights of Columbus fraternal sword with scabbard that are from the beginning of the fraternal order. The sword blade which is 27 1/2" in length is narrower than the more recent fraternal swords and is not shiny and inscribed with the owner's name or order. The blade also is has no knicks or damage after years of ownership. The K of C insignia with crossed sword and anchor is only on the brass plaque at the top and end of the scabbard as seen in the photos. The sword handle is metal rather than the wood handle used on the more recent K of C swords. The total length of the sword and scabbard is 36". Weighs 2 lbs. before packaging. A nice find for the collector of antique fraternal swords or for the buyer who wants a well-maintained Knights of Columbus fraternal sword with scabbard for the Knight in the family.
