The polish is old with small light rust spot and edge roughness, but no scratches, it can get a full polish easily and will be beautiful but still can enjoy it as it is right now. The edge is very sharp, the tip is healthy and nice long sharp looking with good boshi, the hamon and hada well visible too. The tang is unshortened with deep patination, it is signed Sadamune 貞宗 it is believed he was a second generation Sadamune smith working in Oei era in Etchu province, he was working in Soshu style which is obvious by looking at the nice shape of the tang used by Soshu smiths.
