This is a beautiul and rare example of a Majolica Pottery Tray, .. dating from circa. 1870. The tray is decorated with a deep relief moulded pattern of overlapping banana leaves and ferns, ... then finished in a rich glaze typical of majolica wares. The tray is in good condition. T are no chips or repairs. T is a fine hair-line on the back rim, ... this is not visible from the front and is shown in the photos. Length : 11.6 ins. / 29.6 cms. Width : 7.7 ins. / 19.7 cms.
