Antique Mappin & Webb Silver Plated Meat Dome - eBay picture hosting Description: This is fine antique silver plated oval meat dome / food cover.It has a beaded rim and detachable handle. Maker: Mappin & Webb, London & Sheffield Age: Circa 1900 Condition: It is in good condition for its age. It has been cleaned and has a wonderful shine.The silver plating on the exterior of the dome is in very good condition. There is no loss of silver. There are a couple of very light/shallow bruises and some small surface scratches commensurate with age and use, but it does not detract from its appearance because of the overall brilliant shine. It is still an impressive looking meat dome.There is a little rubbing to the plating on the 'Mappin & Webb' oval name plate on the underside and some small marks on the underside, but this is not visible when the dome is upright.
