This is a genuine ANTIQUE BRITISH MADE & ISSUEDHEAVYWEIGHT FIRE HOSE GATE VALVE made by MERRYWEATHER, LONDON BRASS CONSTRUCTION THREADED TO BOTTOM - Probably a quick release coupling, possibly may have been a delivery valve from a fire appliance especially given the MERRYWEATHER brand stamp - ORIGINAL RUBBER WASHER PRESENT APPROX 9.5 INCHES TALL and 8 INCHES WIDE - diameter of handle 6.5 INCHES - 2 1/4 INCH DIAMETER TO BOTTOM STAMPED - MERRYWEATHER LONDON IN EXCELLENT CONDITION - please see photographs EXTREMELY RARE part of the HALLAM COLLECTION of fire service memorabiliafor further photographs or any further information, please ask!! because this item weighs more than 5 kilos, we are more than happy to ship outside of the UK but shipping will be by courier only and will be expensive
