Antique Handmade Military Katana/Sword Style with Geisha & Buddha w/Scabbard Signed Length: 40”Blade Length: 29”Pommel: 10”This is a Chinese Sword, although in the style of theJapanese Samurai this sword is made in China. The signature in Japanese language and this may have a been a part of weapons of the post WWII era in China. This is a very heavy sword it weighs close to 4 lbs. The blade is Damascus folded steel. The blade is semi Honed and has no nicks, pitting or rust. The pommel is in the style of Japanese Katana. It is a heavy-duty sword and has many beautiful and wicked looking design elements to it. It is definitely and excellent example of Asian Sword and Martial Arts weaponry.The name on the blade is either the person it was made for or the sword smith. But is in a contemporary Japanese language, indicating Post WW2. This sword is most definitely a Martial Arts quality sword for those who practice KungFu and other forms of Asian fencing. Dear fellow collector; It has come to my attention that the signature is not in Japanese Language, but a hand scripted Chinese Dialect.
