Antique WWII Military Soldier's metal bead rosary, pocket statue and old metal cylinder case. The center of the rosary portrays Virgin Mary on one side and Jesus carrying the cross on the other side.....just as the burden our soldiers carry with them every day. The cross is quite old .....with raised Corpus....INRI across the top ... and marked Sterling on the back with a M in a triangle shape....I think a military stamp......it will come with many years of patina. It measures approx. 16" when laid out flat. The metal cylinder case measures 2 5/8" when closed and has a diameter of a little over 3/4". The tiny pocket statue I believe is Jesus...it is old and looks like it has been used a great deal. The little metal case is marked FRANCE....and it measures 1 1/4" when closed. The metal rosary and pocket shrine fit inside the water-tight cylinder. I have been collecting military rosaries for over 25 years and this is only the 3rd set like this I have come across. I just sold one similar to this, but, without the tiny statue and case a short time ago. You just never know when we will find another one.....we were at an annual Antique Collector's Extravaganza this last week-end and was lucky enough to find this treasure!! VERY RARE to find....don't let it get away. Please ask questions prior to bidding .
