WOW!!!!!!!! Up for auction is an incredible LARGE antique mid to late 1800's Victorian SIGNED hand carved Madonna and Child Cameo pendant brooch set in solid 14k gold with a 14k solid gold necklace. This piece is fresh from an old estate in Arkansas. The couple was well traveled and retired from Chicago. This piece is absolutely wonderful and it is in EXCELLENT condition with no chips or cracks. The first part of the signature is faded and I can't make out the name. Any help would be appreciated. It looks like "Lasley" but that may not be it. The cameo measures 1 13/16" x 1 1/2". The necklace measures 24 1/2" long. The "drop" part of the necklace which drops from the triangle down to the cameo is 3". The cameo clasp is in excellent condition and opens and closes easily. The clasp on the necklace seems to be stuck. I did not want to force it open. However, the necklace is PLENTY long enough just to slip over your head. I have a large head and it fits over mine easily. Once again, this piece is EXCELLENT quality and in EXCELLENT condition. Good luck and feel free to ask any questions.
