ANTIQUE NATIONAL PORTABLE CAST IRON BASE SEWING MACHINE We recently purchased a few fine antique sewing machines from a Connecticut estate. Among the GREAT finds was this ANTIQUE NATIONAL PORTABLE CAST IRON BASE SEWING MACHINE!!! Folks this machine has...TERRIFIC.....decals on it! Not perfect...but darn close! On the REAR arm t is some old grime on the WINDSOR name...this MAY come off with a careful cleaning....this is pictured... This machine DOES have it's shuttle & bobbin! The rubber wheel on the bobbin winder will need replacement....and t is some cracked paint on the motor....as pictured. Speaking of the motor...it works well! we did put some new motor grease in it before we tried it. You might want to add some more, or even clean it's brushes, again, it works well, but the machine did sit for many years on display, not being used, so I am just talking about maintenance. when we purchased this machine, it did not come with a pedal-power cord. Because we stock all kinds of antique swing machines & parts...luckily...we had the correct pedal on-hand! So you get it so you can use this machine! If you love antique sewing machines...as we do...having an example of a National is a MUST...for any collection! ....and THIS....is a real good one....Great condition...only needs the rubber wheel on the bobbin winder...and a mild cleaning to get ride of the old dusty ditry in the tight spots....Please check our eBay page for MORE antique machines...coming soon....and as always....PLENTY of hard to find parts!!!
