Antique PRIMITIVE BENTWOOD DRY MEASURE. This antique bentwood 4 quart dry goods measure is made of oak with an overlapped tapered joint. The joint is secured with 11 iron nails and the one piece bottom board is pegged to the sides. The outside has a stained finish that has darkened with age. The inside is unfinished and there is stenciled lettering on the bottom but it is indistinct. It measures 9" in diameter x 5 1/2" tall. There are no chips, splits or repairs.
