ANTIQUE DOUBLE RIMMED COUNTRY OAK/ASH WOOD SPLINT EGG GATHERING BUTTOCKS BASKET This is an old country basket with very tight weave and a double rim. The ribbed supports, handle and wrapped double rim, and splint weave are made from oak or ash wood splint. This old basket measures 11-1/2" tall to the top of the handle with a rim diameter of 11'' x 13". The heavy duty splint handle rises 5-3/4" above the rim. The basket is missing splint on the bottom, but it remains sturdy and tight throughout. A wonderful early primitive basket! THANKS FOR VISITING LANE'S COUNTRY LARK!
