This is an antique reproduction of an FG (Gaultier) French doll She is 21 1/2 inches tall without her hat. She is made by Mary Lambeth, and the head was beautifully painted by Emily Hart. She is beautifully dressed in old silk coral Panne velvet . The velvet is very old and in perfect condition. It is thin and soft like the old Panne velvets always were. Her hat is an antique hat, decorated by Mary Lambeth.Added to the lace at the neck of the dress, is one of the motifs made by Mary Lambeth, with hand made flowers, old silk ribbon, antique lace, and metallic lace. She has handmade black silk shoes, and dark brown hand made paperweight eyes from England. The wig is brown mohair. The body is a perfect older composition body, also hand made. (I seem to like that word.)The dolls i am selling now are all coming out of my own private collection. I really hate to see them go!
