This 1880's Pennsylvania Mennonite pieced cotton quilt in the Rolling Stone pattern measures 86" x 83" with about 10 stitches to the inch. This quilt is made of all solid colored fabrics in reds, purples, blues, greens, and oranges. T is also a solid red outer border, an orange and blue sawtooth middle border and a solid red inner border. This is a thin, cotton quilt with several kinds of quilting, the most of which is diagonal line quilting. This quilt maker was very adventerous in her use of bold colors and graphic design. The beauty, fine condition, clarity of design, and age (over 125 years old) make this a very rare quilt....graphic in its use of primary colors and very well worth purchasing.
