Shaker has two marks on the bottom and was made by Rosenthal in Selb, Bavaria, Germany. The company was founded by Philip Rosenthal in 1880. This Shaker is over 100 years old. The mark with a crown over crossed swords and the initials "R" and "C" was used from 1898 to 1906. The "Delft" mark was used c.1900. Cup is decorated with a scene that could have been used on a Dutch Delft plate, but it's on a German Rosenthal Shaker from about 1900. Shaker measures 2.1/8"W X 2.75"H with 2.25". Shaker is in excellent condition with no chips cracks or repairs. I am calling this a salt shaker because holes are little larger but do not have pepper holes to compare with. Please view photos. Shaker comes from a smoke and pet free home. Please view photos and email me with your questions. Thanks for looking!
