Thissuperb Victorian Royal Worcester porcelain vase is in perfectcondition. It measures 2½ inches high and 2½ inches in diameter. It has two beautifully painted birds; one is a robin (I am not sure what the other one is....it doesn't seem to be in my "Observers Book of Birds"! Please e-mail if you can identify it. The vase has a gilded inner rim decoration, handles and feet. Underneath there is a clear “51” mark with a U beneath which dates it to 1883. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks , hairline cracks or wear to the gilding. The quality of the ornithological painting is superb. I believe they were executed by John Hopewell. UK £3.00.EU £5.00. USA and Rest of World £7.50 The other bird is a Redstart. My thanks to "Tutsieboy" for pointing that out!
