This is a very fine Antique Sandwich Glass "Waffle & Thumbprint" Decanter, No Stopper, The Boston and Sandwich Glass Co., c. 1850-1870. This is an early blown molded glass decanter in the "Waffle and Thumbprint" pattern. This decanter is a bar decanter so it has wide lips on top and never had a stopper. There is a polished pontil at the base. This decanter was manufactured by the Boston and Sandwich Glass Co.and it is listed in "A Guide To Sandwich Glass Pressed Tableware", by Barlow and Kaiser, #1170, where it booked for $100 back in 1989. Very fine Antique Sandwich glass decanter, offered with no reserve. DIMENSIONS: The decanter is 9 3/16" H. x 1 15/16" Dia. x 3 3/4" Dia. at the base. CONDITION: The condition is very good with minimal wear and no damage. This is missing it's stopper, but it is a bar decanter so it never had one.
