is a beautiful and unusual chocolate pot by James W. Tufts of Boston. It is marked as such on the bottom, along with Warranted Quadruple Plate and the number 1803. This chocolate pot appears to have a far eastern design to it. The detailing that went into this piece is amazing! I've tried to include enough pictures to show off all the design and craftsmanship. This piece stands 10" tall and 6" from handle to spout. The handle looks kind of like a dragon, but doesn't have a head. T is a circle on one side for monogramming, but this piece has not been monogrammed. I have not cleaned this piece, as some may like to decorate with pieces that have this kind of patina to them. Because of that, I really can't speak as to the condition of the plating. T is an old repair to the hinge of the lid and a couple of indentations along the widest part of the pot. This is truly a fabulous piece! I've never seen anything like it!
