Although this type of plate was commonly crafted for the Spanish nobility, several historians believe that after paying the "royal fifth" owned to the Spanish crown, the indians had enough money to spend or religious silver objects or domestic goods as this plate. We believe that this plate dates back to the early 20th century but it could be older. Both handles have a bird motif. This is a one of a kind plate and an excellent addition to any collection.
