Tonight I am putting up two (2) No. 95 Stanley levels. I am sure most Ebayers are familiar with my work of restoring antique levels. The number has reached over 300. You can see by my feedback, that my buyers have been very happy with their purchases . (If you are not familiar with my work please see partial restoration steps below.) Note âe" This level was originally 28 inches long and had a hanging hole at one end. I have seen many brassbound levels with hanging holes and this is my first one to shorten the length in order to eliminate that defect. The according to my Stanley Tool Book the No. 95 was made from 1897 to 1935. I am not sure of the type but patent dates read âeoe5 âe" 8 âe" 06âe, âeoe6 âe" 23 âe" 96âe, and âeoe7 âe" 17 âe" 94âe which are engraved on the Plumb Vial Plate. Note âe" One reason that I think it is an earlier level is that the horizontal vial holder is solid brass and NOT brass plated like most 95âe(tm)s that I have seen. The level measure 19 âe" inches long, 3 & 1/8 âe" inches tall, and 1 & 1/4-inches wide. The wood is Mahogany. One of the side brass circles is 2 half circles. Both vials are NEW replacements from my own stock. They are completely adjustable by removing the top plates. I consider this level to be in Good/Fair condition. But it is still very unique so I will let you make your own read more
