In 1942 the SRA changed its name to the National Rodeo Association, then in 1946, the NRA and the RAA merged into the International Rodeo Association. Later, the name became International Professional Rodeo Association. In 1975 the PRCA organized a circuit system composed of twelve geographical regions to meet the need of the weekend cowboy."
