Here we have an Antique W. THACKERAY, England, ROSEWOOD INFILL, Shoulder Rabbet Plane 1-1/4" Cut . William Thackeray was a planemaker in Yorkshire, England and operated from approx. 1893 - 1930. There is no maker's mark on the body but his mark is very clearly stamped on the cutting iron: W. THACKERAY PLANEMAKER ARMEY YORKS. This plane is in Very Good condition with a Steel body that is 'infilled' or 'stuffed' with Rosewood. It also has a Rosewood wedge. There are no cracks in the Rosewood or the steel body. The sole is very good. The mouth is also very good and forms a nice tight opening with the blade. The plane's sole measures 7-3/4"L x 1-1/4"W. The 1-1/4" wide cutting iron is full length and is sharp but should be touched up before use. No cracks, breaks or repairs. No owners marks.** Please remember to leave Feedback . I will gladly reciprocate. :-)Reg. Box A
