Rare antique 12" Topsy Turvy cloth doll in very good antique condition. These dolls were made from 1901-1924 as Horsmans Babyland rag doll line. Doll has photorealistic molded lithograph faces, one black ("Topsy") and one white ("Betty"). Doll has a stuffed cloth body and faces are stamped Pat. July 9. Topsy has black mohair and a red cotton cap. Betty has painted hair and a silk cap. Curiously, parts of the clothing are pinned together. Maybe soneone made a new dress for them? Both faces are in excellent condition. In the photos it looks as if there are cracks, but they are simply folds in the fabric. There may be a bit of paint loss to Bettys face.
