First thing is that I am NOT an expert on antique rugs. This gorgeous area rug was purchased at an estate sale and the elderly woman said it was an antique and it does look to be so. It is made of wool (or perhaps a wool blend) that is very soft to the touch. It measures 5'1" x 5'1" and has handsewn binding on two edges. This has a beautiful Victorian floral pattern that has a tan background with mauve, burgundy and copper floral designs. It is in wonderful condition with no odors, and no worn spots or staining that I could find. This is NOT a stiff rug, and can be easily folded, so it will arrive in a box.
