You are bidding on a very old, Edwardian era gold plate bird brooch in great vintage condition. It is a splendid item in good condition, representative of the era, and a great addition to your vintage jewelry collection. We are still selling from the estate of a 97-year old Pennsylvania undertaker named Nigel "Stumpy" Alistair and his lovely bride (of 71 years) Constantine. We honestly do not know how Mr. Alistair obtained the nickname "Stumpy" (and admittedly we are afraid to ask), but have been informed that Mrs. Alistair acquired some of these pieces in lieu of payment for services rendered.
